About The Keystone Center

A Calling to Care. A Vision to Equip. A Commitment to Multiply.

Keystone brings together decades of ministry experience, a carefully developed educational vision, and a shared commitment to building an institution that will continue preparing others for generations to come.

The Keystone Center for Care and Education, Inc. was officially founded on December 13, 2025, to help meet a need that had become increasingly clear: those called to pastoral care ministry deserve thorough preparation for the responsibilities entrusted to them.

Keystone's beginnings are rooted in a journey of faith, perseverance, and a growing conviction that the need for individuals well prepared for pastoral care ministry was far greater than any one person or ministry could meet.

What began as a personal calling to serve hurting people developed into a vision for educating and equipping others to carry that work forward.

Meet Our Founder

Theresa Vaughn, D.Div.

Founder and Executive Director

Theresa Vaughn brings more than 50 years of experience in Christian ministry, pastoral counseling, teaching, and leadership, with particular emphasis on serving individuals, couples, and families navigating relational challenges, emotional wounds, and trauma.

Throughout her ministry, Mrs. Vaughn has witnessed the transforming power of God in the lives of those seeking healing and restoration. These experiences have strengthened her conviction that those called to pastoral care ministry need more than compassion and good intentions; they need sound biblical understanding, spiritual maturity, practical skills, and ethical integrity.

Her years of ministry have also shaped a vision that extends beyond her own work: to equip others who share a calling to pastoral care ministry. Through the Keystone Center for Care and Education, she is working alongside its Board of Directors to establish an enduring educational institution that will prepare individuals to offer wise, compassionate, trauma-informed care throughout the world.
